Critical Incident Medical
Medical response training for groups small and large
Matthew J. Cantrell, PA-C
When a medical emergency happens, the people already in the room are the first to respond. What they do in the minutes before EMS arrives often decides the outcome. My goal is to make sure your people know what to do.
I train individuals and groups small and large in medical response, covering everything from simple first aid to mass casualty trauma. Every class is hands-on and built around the people in the room, whether that is a handful of employees, a church safety team or an entire school staff.
What I teach
General first aid
Stop the bleed and bleeding control
Wound care
Splinting
Assessing vital signs
Trauma response
Mass casualty incident response
My background
I have spent more than 30 years caring for patients in emergencies, in the field and in the emergency department.
20 years as an emergency medicine nationally certified physician assistant (PA-C)
10 years as a paramedic
2 years as an EMT
Certified in PALS, ACLS and BLS
Everything I teach comes from real emergencies and real patients, explained in plain language that anyone can use under pressure.
